The Confirmation Class is open to any youth 8th-12th grades. Service and mission projects are included with a study of the basics of Christian faith. Confirmands may choose to join the church at the end of the Confirmation process. See Faith Formation page for further information

Here is a sampling of mission opportunities in which the youth may participate: Pie Fest and Chili Cook-off to support “Hugs” which sponsors two oversea students * Turkey Hunt * Lotts Creek Sharing/Caring Sacks * Souper Bowl of Caring * One Great Hour of Sharing * C.I.A. Food Cupboard * Youth Mission Trips * The Great Summer Serve * River Walk (clean-up) * and more.

Youth participate in the life of the church in many ways including serving as leaders and helpers in the Sunday Morning Faith Formation programming, as leaders and assistants in Vacation Bible School, and serving on planning teams among other things. The Faith Formation Planning Team offers service hours to students who help in these programs. The Senior High Connections program, in cooperation with the Memorial and Endowments Committee, encourages students to remain active throughout their high school years by offering a scholarship to those who meet certain criteria.

Two of the highlights of youth in worship are the Youth Sunday service and the Children’s Christmas pageant. In addition to these special programs, youth serve as greeters, ushers, Communion stewards, Scripture readers, acolytes, vocal and instrumental soloist, and in small group ensembles.

Please contact Nicki Behr or 440-235-3326 for more information on any of these groups.
